Just looking at powder horn kits on Crazy Crow and I see they have horn rolls. Can someone please tell me what a horn roll is and what is it used for?

Help Support Muzzleloading Forum:
You can turn it to make an applied tip to a powder horn. Handles, scales for a knife...probably a dozen other uses -horn was the plastic of its time.
Roll is cut from the solid end/tip of a horn.
