May I ask if your gun is a military or civilian model? I helped a friend scratch build a .58 plains rifle. he has killed at least 4 deer with it, much to the dismay of his brothers who shoot newfangled versions. Good Hunting! Tree.
It is a T.C. 58 CAL. Renegade.
I'm loaning a 54 cal Renegade to a friend to use this year. Plus all of the powder, round balls, percussion caps, etc.
He has not been blackpowder hunting before. So it is a learning experience for him.
Being an older gentleman with some disability, I will put him on a good ground blind to hunt from.
I think he will enjoy being out in the wilds for a week.
