Good evening! My name is Ryan Moeller. I am 37yrs old and I have lived in Arizona for 4yrs now. I have been wanting to get into Black Powder rifles for a long time, and still don't have one. I'm a sucker for the long flintlock and percussion rifles with the full stock. I'm a big time hunter, love to do offshore fishing, hiking and shooting guns. I'm also a Helicopter Mechanic for CBP and love it! I'll also eventually be in the market for a Black Powder rifle for some elk hunting.. As long as I get drawn for a tag.. LOL

So for you guy's that hunt.. Do you use modern black powder rifles like a Traditions or Remington with a scope, or more traditional with the longer barrel and a full wood stock? Looking for elk hunting recommendations..

Welcome Ryan. There’s a black power club out at Adair range that I believe meets on the first and third Saturday of each month. Lots of older folks with decades worth of knowledge and experience.
