Do as you wish. All I want is a reasonable price from an established and reputable company. Not chasing cheap prices from odd websites. Why on earth would Nate's Academy of Electric Fan Repair and Drawbridge Oiling in Cat Scratch Illinois be a better source than, say, Graf's??????
That is a desirable goal. The company in Cat Scratch becomes a better source when they have the product that others don't have in stock.

Guys, note that Comfortably_Numb's location is "Dark side of the moon". For me, that's just too far to go even for a good deal.

Have to agree.
Even Iowa might as well be the dark side of the moon to me. Not driving there to save a buck.

I went to a gunshow in davenport iowa today and found blackpowder for sale. Also oodles of TC's and even musket caps.. I hear everybody on this forum complaining about shortages. But I'm not seeing it. Push away from the keyboard.
I've went to a gun show every weekend this year. I've bought 4 muzzleloaders, 2 stocks, a sig p226, a Ruger PCC, a canik 9, 1000 #11's, 2 jugs of T7 FFF, a powder horn, range rod, ordered stuff from deer creek and Dixie. Will be going to Indy 1500 this weekend

Depends where you are. Not much in the way of muzzle loading stuff at the gun shows in my area. The local shop (20 miles away) here is very expensive and limits the amount you can buy. It is easier and cheaper for me to buy in bulk online, even with the shipping and hazmat fees. So I guess that is being lazy but I have other things to do besides traipsing all over for supplies....and not much time left in which to do them! Correction, my shop is 56 miles away...what am I thinking?!
There are plenty of muzzleloaders at shows in my area. But no supplies.

Read post #15 above. Crater Fireworks. I bought 1k RWS and 1k Rem #10 last fall from him. I've since perfected my homemade caps. When I run out of the CCI, Rem, and RWS caps I have, I'll just use my homemade ones from that point on.
They are only selling caps to the customers that also buy BP.

Hunt n Peck when Im between a plan to attend any gun show. Well in socialist NYS & Jersey forget them wont waste my time. Guns are air soft rifles and pocket knives fishing and loads of camping stuff maybe a few shotguns. So being an hour from PA and soon to be living there, all the gun shows I go to are within 2-3 hours driving areas in PA or occasionally NH. As for the time between, its hunt n peck, when out driving with my wife we always stop at every gun store we see when shopping around thrift stores and antique /thift stores and garage sales. You just never know, what you can find. You wont find it sitting home. I found a gun store in New Milford CT by shear accident call Jolly Rogers back around 2018. The owner was far from Jolly, lolol cranky old guy like the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld, but deep down he was a good guy. Ask a dumb question and he throw ya out. But they had loads of the old stuff for great prices. He wasnt a bad guy once he recognizes you from going there. He never had a computer, fax or emails it was all done snail mail telephone and those old carbon receipt things where he hand writes your receipts. They have recently closed their doors cause the owner (in his late 70's or 80s past away) I do miss that place. But to the point, he had so many PC's and never held a limit and BP. I never horded but still between his place and a few others I found, the last 2-3 years have close to a 1,000 caps. Found 2 rifles for a bargain and black powder to keep me shooting. Point being get out there on a nice day, check on line for some places first or places from word of mouth and take a drive. Grab the Mrs too, mine most times takes the ride cause shes into quilting and lines up a few places to stop at of her own. We have a nice time out and I actually get her to say (most times) "you want it, just get it" I do the same with her. Hey happy wife happy life and sometimes when out looking you do strike gold!!!
