Third coat of Birchwood Casey genuine oil over a 600 grit finish on this walnut stocked CVA Hawken. Many many more coats to come. Look at the colors in that wood! No stain, all natural walnut.

Set that beauty by a sunny window for a few months.

Flip it right side left side back and forth.

You'll get warm reddish browns and oranges to develop.
 
How do you like the genuine oil? Been thinking about using it over tru oil next time I build a kit. I’m assuming it applies the same way? Gun looks awesome by the way.
