Thank you to all who got me to this site.
I am retired and have shot some sort of muzzleloader since i was 21 and put TC Renegade kit together. My next endevor is to own and shoot a flintlock.
Welcome Dave! I'm 1 state over in WV. I'm not retired but also a new BP fan. I also plan to build a flintlock. I can tell you that Kibler Long Rifles in OH is the way I have been pointed and everything I have seen suggests thats the way to start. Prob going to be $1500 or so in the rifle and some assoted tools but light years better than the kits in the $500-$1000 range. I am a buy once cry once sort so thats what my plan is.

We'll have to talk sometime, I'm a bit west near Harrison, OH/Lawrenceburg, IN.

I'm a greenhorn that got into muzzleloading last fall and I have yet to locate a club nearby or any friends to enjoy the hobby with.
Check out the Butler County Sportsmen Club, in Hamilton, Ohio. Call Ronald Benge @ 513-738-1199.
