Converting Pedersoli Plainsman to Flintlock

Can anyone give me some info on converting a Pedersolli Plainman cap lock to flintlock. Only thing I can think of is to get a Siler gunsmiths flint lock with the blank plate and make it fit. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Or if anyone has a flint lock for a Pedersoli Plainsman.

I have one of these and really enjoy it. I too have considered converting it to flintlock. I understand they came from the factory in both cap and flint, but have been out of production for 30 years and any parts are long long gone.

That Siler blank-plate would be long enough. The end to end measure on the percussion lock plate is 13cm (5 inches). But when you consider the cost of buying that lock, then fitting it properly and maybe the priming pan would line up with the screw hole where the percussion drum was, and then getting ahold of a flash hole liner…. If a flintlock is what you want, you likely would be better off buying a second hand old CVA/Traditions/Dikar.
