Cheap ‘brushes’

Just made a couple of new brush holders, the brush bit being toilet roll or paper towel .
The old ones were losing their grip.
This is probably ‘old hat’ to many but might be a good tip to someone.
The piece in the centre is the handle and part of a range rod that I’m finishing.
The reason for using paper is that it saves a lot of time as it can be thrown away after use and is more than adequate for all but the finishing coats.

Great Idea! I never seen or thought of that!
An I'm kinda "old hat" (in age) myself,,
I'm not too keen with the TP or paper towel (our stuff stateside breaks down too easy),, but a proper chunk a scrap fabric as an insert would be right handy for keepin my fingers clean, Thank You.


p.s.; After thought,, I wonder how many will see this, then try it, an then mess up the cut? Wood has grain,,
Either way's a win,, you get a brush holder or kindling,,
