Brazilian Hardwood Knife Handles and other accouterments.

Any interest out there in Brazilian Ipe? I have a large cashe of it at my house in Brazil that can be cut down into knife handle blanks,, short starters and any other array of wooden shooting accoutrements. Sports a deep purple color. There's some Maçaranduba here as well as some rosewood.

That will be one heavy knife, lol.
I've made a few selfbows from it. That stuff is dense and, hard. Seriously hard. My Stanley Sureform even had a tough time chewing away at it.

A good piece does finish put real nice, especially with scrapers then burnishing. Could make a nice knife scale.

My dad use to make pens out of such wood. Some he used was called Purple Heart.
