I know, when I typed that thread title I had to stop and read it twice…we all know the Italians take a lot of liberties with these guns, still seems odd.
Anyway, great gun if you want a shooter. Picked it up several years as a throw in on a trade. The cylinder pin had come loose so the whole thing wobbled.
Took it to a local well known cowboy action gunsmith and he repaired the loose pin, timed the action and cleaned up the trigger. It’s a very solid gun that shoots really well.
As a project my son and I defarbed the barrel markings, blued and then rubbed back the steel to an aged look and refinished the wood grips. Still a lot of color case on the ramrod, trigger and hammer. It’s a very handsome handgun.
His interests are now flint pistols and I don’t have a need for this gun, so here it is.
Great shooter, and should be for a long time. The bore is outstanding. The action is silky smooth. If you buy this and don’t like it, I can’t help you! Priced to sell at $260 shipped.
