Hi all. Just curious and no there is nothing wrong with my T/C lock. I understand that there are after market locks from various companies that fit the T/C Hawken flintlock. My question is, is the lockplate any thicker than the factory lockplate. In that it won't go alittle concave if the screw is tightened too much? Or are they about the same? TIA Uncrichie.

FYI...all TC side plates do that...both flint and cap...designed that way...tightening the lock bolt until it picks up a little tension keeps it from loosening...just don't tighten them with gorilla strength...all TC locks have that slight spring/curve in the sidplate

Hi RB, I don't overtighten mine. I just snug it up. I was just curious if the other locks out there are the same thickness/design or different. Uncrichie.
