All petroleum based cleaners are bad for the barrel.
We have been using Thompson Center 1000+ since it came out decades ago.

Since 2005 I have never "washed" my barrel. Just 1000+ cleaner and bore butter.
Fowling goes out the barrel with the next shot, and the pan takes seconds to wipe clean.

The best part is, when someone's rifle clogs up and they either break the ramrod, or get it stuck.
I let them walk the trail walk with me, and we share my rifle. Ive had myself and two others at the same time. Each ball goes down as easy as the first.
