For sale is a .45 caliber flintlock I built about a year ago. I'd call it a "colonial" style rifle if I had to call it anything. Specs are as follows:
Very pretty walnut blank from Allen Martin
Colerain .45 caliber A weight swamped barrel. 40.5" long. I had to shorten it 1.5" at the muzzle as that's all the blank would allow.
Barrel is coned to allow easy loading.
Chambers Germanic lock that I reshaped some.
I made the buttplate and it has a Germanic triggerguard from MBS
Single trigger that's light and crisp
14" LOP
8.3#s
The only issues with the gun are my muzzle cap fit could be better and my molding lines could be cleaner and straighter.
This rifle shoots great with everything I've put down it. It's squirrel head accurate with 20 grains of 3F out to 25-30 yards, loves full power loads as well and shoots the 200 grain lee real bullet great too.
