Nicely executed rifle. Stock is highly figured with dark finish that is a striking contrast to the german silver hardware. Several nice inlays and escutcheons, also in german silver make for a stunning look muzzle to butt.
Gun has a 45 caliber Green Mountain barrel, 36-inch length and 13/16 straight. The bore is bright and shiny, very well maintained, with crisp rifling that looks 1:50-ish. Barrel and lock and browned, nice and dark to complement the stock. The lock is an L&R Manton percussion. Lock functions properly and set trigger works very well. I will note there is a small gap between the lock bolster and the drum -the only assembly issue that I see on the gun.
There is some thin wire inlay on the lock panel and some on the cheek, a small bit of which has been lost. There's also a small bump on the stock, just above the cheek near the butt plate. Butt plate and toe plate, like all the rest, are in german silver.
Overall length 52 inches. LOP is a bit over 14". With the slim barrel and well-proportioned stock, this a handy rifle, weighing in at 7 lbs 3 oz.
