From what Jim has revealed. It will be an offering that will fit within boundaries of the export quality English styles that he got to study, in person, for this offering.

I’m surprised that being within the final few months before release that there isn’t already a pre-order up with some pictures.

was not the fowler all ready bumped by the woods runner? ill try to wait a little longer before calling jim chambers. i sold my chambers british fowler kit last year to fund the kibler kit ,then they kicked it ahead again. W.T.H. 😲 im getting [ am ] old
 
He commented on Dave_Person’s Bess threads recently so maybe a Bess is in the works. At least no one can complain about the proper rifling .

There is a thread on here Mr Kibler was participating in on this piece later last year. He stated the 16ga will be thin walled and nice. The 20 will be thicker and a tad chunky.
 
As with Mr. Kibler's other guns, the outside, barrel profile is the same on each model and the larger the bore the lighter the gun. This is not rocket science.

If I were in the market, which I am not (Love my custom Caywood) I would opt for the 16 just because of this.
 
I was hoping for the Fowler, but at the moment, I am torn. When Jim said that this was for shot only, it stopped my enthusiasm. I was hoping for a gun I could use for both shot AND ball as a smoothie. Then I also saw that what Jim was contemplating was akin to a Trade gun. I'm not one for the looks of the Trade gun. Yes, I know many people have them and shoot them, but the looks of them are just not my cup of tea. There is the Smooth-bore Colonial, of course, but that one looks so much like the Woodsrunner which I already have.
I just don't know. I am probably overthinking this, but there I am. 🤔

Don't worry about responding trying to influence my thinking. I will come to a decision one way or another on my own. Just my two cents and blowing off some steam.

Besides, I sooooooo like the looks of that Cherry-stocked Southern Mountain that TDM made. 🤩

Get the 20 gauge, it will have a thicker barrel than the 16 gauge as Jim has said both will be the same outside diameter.

I know the Colonial looks alot like the Woodsrunner, but the Colonial is a good shooter with either.
