    Leman Rifles by TVM?

I bought one from Track a few months ago advertised as a Lancaster type rifle. Built by Avance with a 38" swamped barrel, .50 cal. only weighs 7 1/2 lbs or so. Siler Moutain lock, all iron furniture. Looks good but have not shot it yet.

    Stainless steel nipple

I remember hearing about those but never noticed one before. Probably why the gun has a flash protector on it. Thanks to the both of you.

    Stainless steel nipple

I was looking at a percussion rifle and noticed there were 2 holes in the nipple drilled through the sides of the nipple maybe a little below where the cap would sit. Never seen such a thing, any purpose good or bad? Some new whiz bang newfangled invention?

    bp safety

Had a neighboring cousin pull some bullets from some 7mm Mag shells to use the powder in a 3rd Dragoon. Everything survived. I gave him a pound of Goex and told not to do that anymore.

I have been buying uncured bacon at the store lately. The wife asked me what the difference was and I told her that they just cut the pig up before it got well.

    Knife Suggestions

Jay-my interest in a descent knife has increased lately and I recently ordered an English trade/scalper 6" from Old Dominion Forge looks like it may be OK. Wick's knives look good too also have a craving for a spanish belduque from De La Ronde forge. Since I am from Texas the subject of "Bowie...

    Fuel Injected Dragoon

Almost sounds like a cap jam. My dragoons could eat several and lock up. Zonies advise is sound and legit.

    Best movie fight sceen

Lonesome Dove where Woodrow beat the army scout. Not so much a "fight", more of a world class ass whooping.

    Stainless 2nd Gen. Colt 1860

While the stainless steel does not turn me on, I would tend to shoot it. It may be rare or an oddity but it will never be a museum piece and you will never get rich off of it. What it roots down to is do you want to keep it or not? Sounds like you bought something you really did not want or...

how do you guys store your BP?

A cool dry place. I my case on top of the gun safe in cardboard boxes on top of a couple of thousand rounds of smokeless ammunition in the bedroom where I sleep. Only have 15# or so and I sleep well. If it was that unstable it would have blown up while UPS was throwing it around.
