Mine is an original South Australian marked 3rd model Pat 53 contract Enfield 3 band rifle. It has been in my family all my life, my mother used to put it in my bed when I was a little tacker and often sick. I was not allowed to dry fire it ! It was found in the station store room and cleaned up by the sons of the head trustee, I started shooting it when I was about 12 years old, it was the start of my black powder journey. It still shoots well. The other is a Neil Fields Lancaster with a 44 inch swamped collerain barrel and a lovey Queen Anne Jim Chambers lock, a real tack driver. But as others have said, all of my rifles have a sentimental connection, as most have been given to me over the years by people who meant a lot to me, I shoot in the company of a lot of ghosts.
