Any one know where I might be able to get a Gallon sized wooden pail for my sourdough. Needs a lid to keep floaters out. Wood is supposed to keep it a more consistant temp. Hope this will make faster fermentation. Thanks

Look at Panther Primitives. They have a couple to choose from although they might not be what you want.

I was looking, although for a different product, BUT do a search for cooper, or cooperage, and it will turn up a number of different vendors. Panther also(as mentioned) track of the wolf also, and I believe crazy crow, but not sure of the lids.

Would a good sized wooden bowl work as well? It would be simple enough to make a cover for one. Also, how about crockery? These are real easy to find, come in many period correct styles and come with lids.
