Today I shot my new Frontier flintlock. 4th outing with it. Finally things are starting to click. Only 1 hang-fire and I know why, no more after that. No flinching, better focus on target and holding after the shot. I was trying to just relax and shoot. I think my sights are ok, was a little worried about the front brass one I put on it, but I think it's going to be fine.

50 yds off hand, MUCH happier today with this target. Can I shoot my April contest target over again? :)

Canvas is going up tomorrow!
Let the good times roll👍

made a new front sight out of brass for my pistol. at least rough shaped it. dovetail base with the standing blade shaped like an acorn.
will match the acorn motif on the trigger guard, butt cap, rear sight.
got tired of filing and Knapped a half dozen flints.
re drilled the lock plate screw to 10x32 because i stripped the 8x32 threads. tapped it and all is better.

Her indoors droning on “ you are not making another gun”. She hates hunting and guns “ why did you marry me then”. Angry. I thought “I could change you.”
you haven’t changed since the day I met you she’s 75. What do you expect. She loves leather and meet. “ but I don’t kill it”

so another tube £36. Just arrived 1”OD.
.516 bore 1/4” wall , Postman gave it to joan oh dear. Now Friday a 140cm by 35 cm and 5 cm thick slab of walnut is coming £55. Oh dear me.

so I bid £850 on a Gibbs 1875 target rifle Ml I bid £850 well above value as it was rusty. It went for £2700.

I don’t want a Pedrosoli even if I could get a police S1 So started making my own. It’s going ok Then chat on forum about LH flintlocks , and I have one hence the second barrel. Better not comment too much , on forum as it’s a police state as far as guns in uk. Of course mine are always inert. Haammmm got a bad cough.

I wish you well

My first 2 wives didn't understand me. I understand my current, and forever wife perfectly.
Yes many wives like to talk about flowers and things not guns. she married me an engineer and a hunter gatherer in 1968 , I would be her first choice if we’re were stranded on a desert island
We have done well in life and retirement. I bought her a permento green Z3 in 2004 as her mum died to cheer her up . She says she preferred her VW golf. She likes socialising flowers and all that ****. I drive an old 1999 fiat van never happy always moaning just like her dad. It’s an illness , ex RAF.

Family I am a good cook chef even, But she likes eating out and mostly it’s expensive and manure. disgusting food the other day An life goes on an on.

Note did mention guns once. Ha ha her body ain’t bad.at 75 it’s the brain the problem.

i mess for with my Rapido Motorhome, she don’t like it as it’s LH drive for France . bid on guns at holts auction and build a few just to pee her off. I paint a bit too that ****** her off too. Ha ha. One cannot Win

joan 75. Last year. Dune de platt Arcachon France. Yes from a distance not bad. And my youngest son

love to you all from me Gordon , and maybe joan
