I"ve used linseed oil , Turp. and vinager to do stocks for over 50 years . The Turp. is also a penetrate and draws the oil further into the stock wood . The Vin. also acts as a cleaner as well as a drier . (not the "white" stuff) but apple cider or other naturally produced Vin. from cherrys etc. As was suggested rub fast and hard enough to create a little heat. :thumbsup:
