First off, apologies if this is the wrong board!

I just finished a war club from a blank ordered from Tiger Hunt. Lots of rasp and scraper work, but nothing even an amateur like me couldn't handle. I'd like to try some carving on it and then maybe try a gunstock club from a nice thick plank I've been saving.

Are there any books out there with pictures of originals? I don't want to exactly copy one, but I like including aspects of real artifacts whenever possible. I'm particularly interesten in anything that shows decorative carving on the clubs. Thanks for any pointers!

Thanks Gray Wolf. I've been burned in the past ordering blind from the net. Sometimes the description doesn't match the package, if ya know what I mean. I usually at least try to see what people have found useful. That title looks worth checking out!

Nifeman, that certainly is different! Looks like a good project for sure.

Thanks again.
