Well finished my second trail walk of the year and so far so good. First trail walk shot 10 out of 28 with a scope that was not sighted in properly as i did not have enough time. Second walk changed to a peep sight that again didnt have time to fully sight it in so got it good enough at 25 yds and shot 14 out of 28. Now i just need to spens some time and sight in the rifle properly haha
 
Ya the rifle came with an old j.c hawkins so pulled it off and put it off to the side for now haha then my local gunsmith taight me how to make a peep sight fron steel rod

I don't know how many percussion rifles I have seen over the years with scopes attached. It was a thing back when the first BP deer seasons started in Indiana.
