Due to the lead time with Loyalist Arms, called their US "associate"(don't know official business relationship) "The Muzzleloader Shop" to ask some questions. It was a slow day and the proprietor was talkative since he said they were iced in. Asked about prices, he said due to duties that the prices are different from those listed on the Loyalist site. Due to a COVID moment, I'm almost certain that it was a flat $739. He said that they were out of a number of the flintlocks and were expecting a delivery in 3-4 weeks.
Asked him about the reboring service that was offered and was specific about the extra smoothbore barrel I got for the Investarms Hawkins carbine kit. He said that it may not be possible to go to 20GA but 24 or 28 GA was more likely due to wall thickness. And the cost was $125.
Asked about dropping by on a trip from the farm vicinity Shreveport to St. Lo. He said that due to COVID, that the shop hours were flexible and to call prior to coming by. Told him that the next time I headed to St. Lo that I'd call to stop by. Asked about buying while there and he said that was best since the freight charges sometimes were crazy with the longer muskets.
