I’ll need to keep my ears to the ground for a smaller caliber for her. Or find a recoil pad made of rubber .
just down size the amount of powder. a friend of mine wanted to take his 12 year old daughter deer hunting. 50 cal , black powder. 45 grains and round ball. killed a doe at 60 yards I. then started using the same amount and have killed dozens of deer. best thing about it is so little recoil I can shoot a lot and no pain in xhoulder

TC Seneca / Cherokee / or a custom build along those lines would be an excellent choice for a person of smaller stature. I have a fairly petite Leman style gun made by golden age arms, 40cal, that is a dream to shoot and carry. Also have a Seneca and Cherokee that are similar in weight/size. My girlfriend found the Seneca much easier to move around than a hawken.

You can get a nice peep here. A hunter type T/C for $80

Go to the website, many options

So we had a problem importing two Williams FP tang peep sights for our Hawken rifles from Williams gunsight co. We waited for two months for the sights to be delivered through the mail. I called Williams gunsight co and they had put the two sights in the mail a week after I had placed the order February 1st. They gave me a tracking number and I discovered that the sights were sitting in Canada customs because they are a "gun part". I called customs and spoke with a very rude customs agent who told me that they are being held indefinitely. I sent an email to my federal member of parliament who in turn made an enquiry on my behalf. I got a reply this week telling me that I should be receiving my two tang sights in a week to 10 days. My letter to my Member of parliament stated that I can mount all manner of electronic sights to my barrel from long eye relief scopes to red dot and holographic sights imported from the good ol USA. So why is there a National security risk to order and import two peep sights from the US? The Member of parliament agreed with me and the enquiry was made. At least this story has a happy ending.

Too much government. An unelected bureaucracy that makes its own rules as they go. I’m familiar with the process but Jeepers! It takes a member of Parliament to get this done? You’d think his staff would draft a letter of “guidance“ for this agency.

Most Albertans have zero respect for the RCMP and the idiots at our border crossings. I hate socialism with a passion, and would love nothing better for Alberta to secede from canada and see our province become a US state. there is a movement for this to happen, in fact, July 1st is canada day and I'll be flying the star spangled banner along with the Provincial flag. I'll be flying the star spangled banner July 4th!!
