Now that I'm pretty healed up, I'm back at my bench and working on a gun. It's a rendition of one from Europe about the 1720's. I want to make the sights, but I can't find a picture of what they looked like about that time. I know TOW makes them and calls them "original", but I would like to see them for myself. There is much knowledge on this sight, and I would greatly appreciate anyone who owns one or has access to some originals to post a pic or tell me the measurements. Most that can be bought are quite tall, and if I look at pics of originals, the front sight is very low, almost imperceptible.
Thank you.

Well, you haven't gotten any replies so I'll chime in. You need to contact someone dealing in historic originals. Pick up a copy of Men at Arms magazine, published by the NRA and for sale at Books-A-Million type stores. There are countless ads of dealers who ought to be able to help on what the sights should look like.

Thanks to you both, I was starting to get a complex.
My material of choice is bronze, no one else is using it, and I thought it would be cool. I cannot reveal my process at this time, but when I get it perfected.....
I already have a rear sight made, but I wasn't sure about the size. Pics coming soon.
Thanks again.
