Shooting this .38 caliber picket rifle in the Cartridge vs Muzzle Loader match at Canal Fulton Ohio this Sunday, 09/24.

While the lock looks like any other percussion lock of the period, further examination reveals it was converted from side slapper to side hammer many years ago. Gun cranks fooled with stuff even back then!
