Paul speaks wisely of the capability of larger sized lead balls. I think a discourse on terminal ballistics of RB would be most interesting. I have a hunch that the shock wave of energy being dispersed into a target by a RB is wildly different than a more modern projectile with a higher BC. If a RB is poo-pooed for shedding energy quickly, well, that's what it's supposed to do inside of an animal, and it does it well.

Crunching some numbers I found that my new Bess has a much higher BC than my 32 or 50 calibers, so Thanks go to those guys who helped there.
