This is a well made, used, but not abused .62 Jaeger rifle. No builder name. The overall finish is good plus and I believe it was intentionally distressed. The 31" swamped barrel has a browned finish with some minor edge wear. The round bottom rifling has a 1:65-70 twist. Bore is generally very good, but has some minor pitting near muzzle and some tenacious flecks of BP residue my worn 20 ga brush won't remove. Needs a good cleaning with BP solvent. Two leaf express rear sights. The Maple stock has had a darker stain added, and as mentioned, appears to have been intentionally distressed. No serious bumps or scratches, just honest use wear. LOP is 13.5 ". I believe it has a Davis lock. Sparks well. Has some surface rust that needs addressing. The lock screws are too long and washers added on side plate side. I would personally grind them down. The triggers have classic Jaeger style set trigger. It is fussy and main trigger needs to be pushed forward to put set trigger back where it should be. Maybe just sticky. Brass fittings gave a nice mustard color. Would make a great rifle to hunt any North American big game. $1100 + Shipping.
