Three muzzleloaders have recently come into my possession. First is a Reilly, or not, as the case may be; Marked 'Reilly London' on the barrel and 'Reilly' on the lock plate. Problem being is the poor quality of the engraving, definitely not up to Reilly standards and the Birmingham proof marks, these make this gun a 'fake', that is intended to make the buying think he was getting a better gun than he actually did. Nice bit of evidence for this fairly common practice.
