the great Adirondacks
stopped by a local gun shop and happened to see a bunch of nice horns in a box. some looked like the bright white ones that you kind of finish or scrim what you want others were very nice. a few had the makers name R Tapp on them and had nice scrim, anyone familiar with R Tapp powder horns??

Never heard of him, but his horns appear well made and his scrimshaw is fine art!

You may want to repeat your post on the ALR forum. I think there may be a relatively higher proportion of professional builders, collectors, and patrons of high-end craftsmen there than here. In any event, you’ll be casting a wider net.
