Brad, To shoot most aggregates you will need three pistols: a flintlock, a percussion and a revolver. Having said that, you can use a revolver in the percussion pistol matches if you load a single shot at a time. I would suggest "traditional" ( plow handled) flint and percussion pistols as they can be used in all matches where non-traditional styles cannot. The revolver should not be modified (except as allowed by the rules) to be accepted as "as issued". I know of one aggregate that requires a smoothbore, traditional style pistol of .437 or larger bore but with the three pistols first named you can shoot all week.
