I never really considered reenacting much before this year. I wanted to get into something I could enjoy my black powder hobby with being outdoors more....other than hunting.
It gets in your blood, I started out reenacting the civil war. Before long I had both Union and Confederate Uniforms etc. It didn’t stop there, I now reenact French and Indian, Revolutionary militia, Mexican War (Mormon Battalion cuz I live in Utah), and Indian War (Custer era). It’s taken me 30 years, and a bigger house, but nevertheless it’s addicting.
 
Regarding belt axes and tomahawks, does anyone know when the heart cutout first appeared on a tomahawk head ;
