There are a number of Pedersoli shotguns on gunbroker right now. Even cut down models. prices are decent. Check them out. Just search pedersoli
I agree there are a quite a few. I am always amazed at how many Howdahs and stage coach short s/s guns there are. I only look at them from a hunting or target perspective, so I never understood the fascination of them. I guess everyone has their thing. Outside of those, there really are only a couple of 12's and maybe a 10. If someone was looking for a shooter s/s 12, there is a CVA right now that looks like it is in perfect shape. Pretty hot bidding and still around 500.

DISCLAIMER: I KNOW I’VE BEEN MAKING MORE THAN A FEW SMOOTHBORE THREADS LATELY. I APOLOGIZE. JUST WEIGHING MY OPTIONS FOR A NEW GUN. SORRY!!!

With that out of the way, it seems Pedersoli is about the only game in town for a new muzzle-loading side by side shotgun. Dixie has this 12 gauge in stock:

My question about Pedersoli shotguns (currently made ones especially) is are they considered reliable and durable? I plan to use it heavily, not to use as a wall hanger. Any issues to watch out for? Are they genuinely good shotguns, or not so much?

Thanks!

Ive owned two, 10 and 12 ga. both were fine performers. Price has nothing to do with how long it takes to turn them into stars but patience does.
