I liked my BP pistols that much, I went and ordered a Pedersoli Country Hunter, to keep them company!

Roll on Wednsday, when I pick it up!

Please let us know what you think of the DP Cntry Hntr.

Neighbor of mine is contemplating one.

Online it looks very much like a little better copy of the Traditions Deerhunter flintlock. The deerhunter has no bridle and no buttplate except for a thin rubber pad. The short barreled little gun is very nice in the woods.

Yes, I can now recommend the Country Hunter.

It is a bare bones, no-frills gun, but seems to shoot well enough.

I shot a group of about palm-sized, at 25 metres. This was my first ever time using a muzzle loading rifle.

Still can't believe how mild the recoil is!
