Shot her running at 50 paces, around 40 yards, in front our beagle hounds.
It was an awesome chase!

I have a Pedersoli just like yours but we can't use buckshot on deer in the state I live in I would have to load it with round ball or slugs.

hunting what dogs & buck shot is banned in my state. dogs, now that is a sporting chance for the deer? with buck shot, too many were shot in the pouch and run off to die a horrible death. and very many hunters were also shot. not my decision, but a study Was done by the state BIOGIOLIGSTS. I am a hunter. and remember a HUNTERS PRAYER, OH LORD PLEASE LET ME KILL CLEAN OR LET ME MISS CLEAN,

You did a good job with that gun. Congratulations on a nice deer kill. I've never trusted buckshot after testing it at various distances and seeing how few pellets actually hit the targets. Those Pedersoli doubles are certainly nice; I used to have one until a friend bought it off me.
