I finally saw this gun and it was made FOR Robert Woods by Thomas. It is marked with a couple brass inserts into the barrel. No other markings on the exterior. Very nice looking lock with no exterior markings. No patchbox, but about 15 inserts. No carvings. The name was supposed to be in the Dillon book, but I only have the Kindig book. Very nice general shape with fiddleback maple. No cracks. I am taking photos. About 40 Cal., rifled. More drop than a Lancaster, but less than a Bedford.I am trying to find the value for an old friend and am out of my knowledge range on this one. I can send photos.

Pete
