Got a North Star West Trade Gun from them last year. The work was excellent and I really love this thing. Since they have gone out of business (health reasons I believe) is was wondering where I could find spare parts especially for the lock. Nothing is broken but always like to have some parts "put away" just in case. Anyone know if other lock parts in the market fit their locks?

Many thanks!

call and find out whos lock and triggers where used. then contact the maker of said parts.

Matt had the parts cast and then assembled the locks (after heat-treating the appropriate parts). No one else "made" them...

NorthStar West used their one mold, and made all their own parts.

So the word proprietary comes to mind. Apprently they still answer their phone, so if it is only a part you might try calling or writing them.

is there anyway of getting a couple of extra lock parts from them? I'd like to lay up a an extra mainspring and frizzen spring for my trade gun. unless those can be cross referenced against another spring?
