What size nipple wrench does it take to fit a Pedersoli Hawken Hunter? The ones I've got are not wide enough

What size cap does your nipple take?
If it takes a musket cap, it will require a nipple wrench usually used on a musket such as a Pedersoli Enfield rather than a nipple wrench for a standard rifle nipple using #11 caps.

You may have to widen the slot on one of your wrenches and dedicate it to your rifle. Or you may want to get a nipple that fits your wrench. You could grind down the sides of your nipple if all your rifles take the same sized nipple.

1/4 X 28, sage advice.

Mine takes a #11 cap. I will widen the gap in the wrench I have as I have a few. Thanks for the replies.

Measure the width of the nipple across the flats. Is that measurement much larger than the width across the flats of you other nipples? If it is much different, then I would replace the nipple or file down the flats of the oversized one.
