Hello all
New here to learn more about ML before I get my first. Definitely going to be traditional, still thinking as to whether percussion or flintlock. Leaning toward flintlock, but I’m a lefty and some claim RH lock would not be safe. But I’m thinking it would be ok. But definitely won’t be inline with a fast twist as I want to use ball and patch. Anyway I’ll be learning until I find a used rifle that I can afford by the way I’m a retired RN in East Texas.

You may be able to find a left-hand lock and stocked flinter, but also remember that back-in-the-day they had SxS flintlock shotguns, and the right hand shooters were firing the left barrel with a lefthand lock from their right shoulder..., without trouble.

It is normal, of course here in Texas many will drink ice tea instead lol
