That looks wonderful Phil, what did you finish off the stock with? Beautiful color and finish, looks like Jim set you up with a great stock.
Walnut husk juice during whiskering then aqua-Fortis for stain. A heavy coat of tung oil that was rubbed in with gray scotch bright and wiped off before drying. Top coat is two coats of Tru-Oil.

I really like how you finished the lock. Can you go into detailed how you got the finish on the lock?

It’s charcoal case hardening and takes some special gear to do. The steps are more involved then I care to type out. Lots of information available on line and some of it is correct!
