My Great Looking 1st Flintlock Arrived!!!

My .54 caliber flintlock rifle has arrived from MARTIN9 that he'd advertised with nice pictures here:

to hunt deer with this fall/winter! I sure am in a Great Mood!!!

Shootin' will be scheduled right after grandchild #2 is born! That might have happened tonight, as my son's
wife was to be induced tonight. Then the hospital called them and said, "Don't Come. Maybe tomorrow". I'll
be sure to report on my first shootin' experience. You all can bet on it!

I have always felt the acquiring of a new rifle has the same feeling for me as holding a new born person! maybe not as sacred but still a warm and fuzzy feeling.

Here's my 54 hoyt gain twist barrels shot very well with 70 grns sw 3f and 530 ball 10z denim mutton tallow lube ( a good starting load for you ) add 10 grns if using goex or shutzen

Top shot clean barrel next 3 touched(bench supported) moved sights next hit aim point
