well fellows, here is my first attempt at a 2005 PC horn.. didnt come out toooo bad..I have 5 more to play with.

Very nice work on that eagle!

It looks great as it is, but I would be tempted to dye everything between the spout and that engrailed ledge.

If it were mine, I'd add pegs to hold the plug in (or make it look like the plug wad pegged in instead of just glued). Toothpicks, locust or thornapple thorns and a dab of stain to tone them.

But that's just my opinion. :winking:
 
I thought about that, small brass nails maybe, I had the whole top solid black, but when I polished it with steel wool, it took some off, and I thought it looked kinda cool so left the top like it is. If any of you order from that place, I think you can call them and get a handselect on horns....they said they would have on mine, but the order was already packed when I called.

Yeah well .. its okay for a first try .. better just send it along to me ... so you get to building a really nice one .. you dont want your failures to sit around so's you can see 'em! :nono:
