That is a thing of beauty by one of the best builders who ever lived. It's been my pleasure to see several of his guns since we are friends with his daughter. Someone needs to jump on this immediately. It will be years before another comes on the market.

Here's one a close friend owns.

I can't even imagine the time and the patience it would take to build something like that. I'm sure there are many people on this forum who build rifles and know exactly what time and patience is.

One thing for sure is that ol Louis or any of the Johnson City boys will not be building any more of these fine pieces. Meanwhile the dollars you’ld be buying it with are being diluted by the hundreds of billions every week. Something to ponder.

Very true. I've asked about any tools, parts, etc that might still be around from his shop and it's all gone. Scattered all over the place by now I imagine.

I can pretty much assure you that ol Louis had no CNC lathes or routers in that shop. The work of today's builders will pop your eyes out of your head But they do have the luxury of some very modern machine equipment. I aint mad at em. What they are turning out is absolutely incredible.

I know he didn't. I've seen some of the tools and parts.

excellent. And thank you to whoever bought it for removing the temptation. I love it but can't afford it

This is the first time I've seen a LS offered for sale. I picked.one up a few years back from a ebay person who didn't know what he had.
Mine had never been fired!
I have it about 99% sighted in.
I show it to customers and they can't believe it is that detailed.

You have one fine rifle !
