A new Powder Horn (#12)
This "lobed"style Powder Horn is found during the French and Indian War period.
This horn features a scrimshaw map of a part the lower Chesepeake Bay and, on the obverse side, is an original motto of mine, along with my initials.

That was about 40 hours of work. Carving the horn is just half the battle, the bigger challenge (for me) is designing and scratching.

The reason I asked about signing your work is that some day your work will be studied by people on muzzle loader forums trying to date these horns and who the maker was. Just like people do with old horns now.
