Well, my source for my next stick only had super nice maple left.
I wanted nice, but not "outer space" grade.
Wasting wood is not a good thing, even though I am pretty confident.
This will be build "Numero 4", and now I must do my duty, and not momick up a stick.
It is not the money, it is doing Mother Nature proud.
With the Forum and patience, we will come out smelling like a rose.
The nicest slab of maple I have ever seen is in the form of a "Chancaster" (chongered Lancaster) practice stick some guy tried to build as number 1. What a waste.
Anyhow, time to start getting my build plan to bulletproof specs!
This is too fun.

I am not going to post any pics until I am "out of the woods" so to speak, 'cause I might have planned to build a pistol gripped "Mountaineer Repast" all along! :rotf:
