ok found some info! Damn little, but its interesting to even find what i did.
LITTLE, J. & D. — Bellefonte, Pa., mid-19th century. Gun and gun barrel makers. Made percussion rifle barrels for J. D. McKahan; McKahan & Noble, and others.

I swear the stock is tiny! It must have been made for a little man because theres no way a kid would heft up a 36" long 1" across the flats .38cal barrel. I havent weighed it yet but it has to be over 8lbs easily due to that thick barrel. Bore is in surprisingly good shape too. The double set triggers are scary light! Super hair trigger set up on this one. Nice water fowl engraving on the lock plate. Interesting rifle to say the least.

Looks like the bore will clean up just fine! I'll be soaking the nipple in PB penetrating oil for a couple weeks and see if I can get that ol nipple out and replace it. Its nice to save these old muzzleloaders!
