I got a really sweet deal on the rifle mentioned above and because of my questionable eyesight, I would like to mount a peep sight on it. As shown, it has a substantial tang. So, I need your help and suggestions.

Get the Lyman 57 SML that's made for these guns or if your tang drops too much get the 57 GPR which is the exact same sight but comes with a wedge to level it up. You'll need to drill & tap one hole in the tang to mount it.

I just received a peep sight from Tom A Hawk and his sight fits the investarm hawken just fine.

The Lyman sight was going to require modification to fit. At least on mine.

Drilling and tapping one hole in the tang is not really that much of a 'modification'.

In my case I was going to need to remove wood from the stock or maybe a substantial amount of material from the sight base.
