Coming here to get some knowledge and information. My muzzleloaders are an 1851 Whitney contract rifle and a Remington New Model from the lot delivered to the War Dept January of 1864. Pistol is a shooter now, rifle needs a lot, but I will get there. I was raised by a vet who was raised by a vet and the history of our Republic is precious to me.

Welcome Scubby,
I too live in the Mother Lode. Groveland to be exact. Lots of Muzzleloaders around here. MLGC in Jamestown used to have a ML shoot once a month. A lot to learn there. There is also the Sonora Smoke Polers. We have a major shoot in Chinese Camp in April or early May depending on the rain. Were in the Mother Lode are you.
