Well, L&R set is $120 plus shipping. I’ve been building guns for 25 years and have just never seen the need. like I said, 1 1/8” socket and a square brass punch, which can be made from a ¼” brass bolt.
Really easy.
 
I think Eric has the simplest answer.
I have used my bench block, it has a hollow under side. I flip it over and use a punch.

BUT, if it's tight you stand a good chance of bending the plate. So tomorrow im going to get a 4x4 block and make me one like Eric's.

Btw Eric, is that design patented? I don't want any infringement issues!! 🤣
