Are there any black powder computer games out there, either for the computer or Gameboy/PlayStation systems?

A couple of old games that are usually available really cheap now are: Civil War and Gettysburg. I think both are marketed by the history channel.

i just seen one at wal-mart the other night at work fer the pc called battle at big horn....it's supossed to be the first fight of the civil war the box said....cool pictures on the box of white smoke from the muzzleloaders..............bob

age of empires II has everything from hand canons to musket i believe... it is a fun game to play. spent many hours at working playing it... er i mean spent many hours working on playing it. yeah that's it

Their is a new gaime coming out called Frontier 1859. I am not exactly sure what the release date is?

It looks interesting!

It seems that most of the games based on the Civil War, Revolution, War of 1812 are very similiar. I personally think their boring.

What I would like to see is this!

The U.S. Army developed a game called "America's Army".
This is a web based first person shooter, where you can play with and kill other players.

We really need a first person shooter pc game with a good engine. I would love to fight, do missions and such. With primitave weapons.

Build me a quality fps historical battle game like this and I will be the first customer!

I can imagine playing actual battles like at the Alamo, Gettysburg and such!

What I have seen so far does not cut the mustard!

I did want to add, that I loved playing the game "Desperados Wanted Dead Or Alive" that was released in 2001 by Infrogames. You can still download the demo here

Once you get the hang of it, it is a ball!

This is the best old western shootem up I ever found! It is ver similiar to Commandos, but I like it better.

If you own Half-Life 1 you can download the online multiplay modification Battlegrounds. Simple textures, but fun.
